Rimms fired his rifle. Everyone else dead, again. The cell in the rifle popped, failing to recharge.Tentacles drug him deeper into the mass of monsters. He expected to be torn apart, but found himself lying before a gargantuan horror. His mind tore at itself as the will of the thing violated his psyche. It forced him to reach for his PDA to program a distress call, to summon more souls to devour. He surged his anger and shoved his hand to his pistol. He couldn’t force the barrel to his head, so he shot himself in the gut, seven times.
