Roberts ran for Systems Control, priming his weapon as he went. This had to stop here.
With ice in his heart, Roberts realized that his name was already doomed to that special section of history reserved for Manson, Dahmer, and Jim Jones. This was the hand he’d been dealt.
Rimms and his team were already dead. They just had to hold Korrag long enough for Roberts to trigger the failsafe.
A searing pain between Roberts’ eyes blinded him, and he nearly fell as he reached the door to Control. As he stumbled, he cried out in horror: “Oh, God! Jimmy!”
