Pedro filled his sack, closed it, hefted it on his back and headed toward the warehouse one last time for the day. The five mile hike was getting harder on his old, callused feet with each passing day. If the price was right, Pedro will have saved just enough to buy a new pair of shoes. The ones the missionaries had given him 10 years ago had served him well but they hardly stayed on his feet. “Coffee,” Pedro cursed under his breath. What he earned today wouldn’t pay for a cup of the cursed liquid in the United States.
